Identification Cards

Welcome

The WesCard Office located on the first floor of North College produces the University ID Card.  You may have your picture taken at the office, Monday-Thursday between the hours of 10am-12n and 1p-4p and Friday 10a-12n.  Should you lose your ID, report the loss immediately to the WesCard Office.

Your Wesleyan ID is very important to you at Wesleyan and in Middletown, where it acts as positive identification.  It is also used on campus as a way to identify yourself to the food service, bookstore, the Freeman Athletic Center and other University organizations.

Wesleyan's campus is very open. There are no outer protective boundaries or buffer zones and therefore the campus is easily accessible to individuals not affiliated with the University. Students, faculty and staff are free to come and go. There are times, however, when it becomes necessary for Public Safety Officers to request proper identification such as the Wesleyan University photo identification card. Such requests are not made often, and are made only out of concern for the community members.  Public Safety is also concerned with your rights.  As members of the campus community, you have a right at the time of the request to have the Officer provide an explanation for the request.  Please carry your identification with you at all times.

New faculty and staff must bring proper authorization documents from Human Resources or the  Academic Affairs Office to the
WesCard Office when they wish to obtain a University I.D.
