In addition to traditional foot and
vehicle  patrols, Public Safety Officers and Supervisors also patrol the campus
on bicycle. Started in 1995, the bike patrol has been very
successful at increasing the Office of Public Safety's ability to
provide its services to the Wesleyan community. Many areas of the
campus are only accessible via walkways or one way roads. Public
Safety personnel on the bicycle are able to manipulate through
these areas with greater ease than Officers in patrol vehicles and
faster than personnel on foot. The bike patrol commences
approximately April 1st and continues through late fall.
