A Message from the Director

Welcome

The Office of Public Safety welcomes you to Wesleyan University.  We need your assistance to perform our jobs effectively.  You are the eyes and ears of the community; we encourage you to be an active member in the preservation of safety on and around campus by reporting incidents of crime, unsafe conditions, medical emergencies, or suspicious activity to our office as soon as possible.  Because of our 24-hour-a-day operation, the Office of Public Safety  can respond quickly to your requests for assistance.

There is a heavy emphasis on the word "service" within the office.  Do not hesitate to call if you need assistance.  Public Safety personnel traditionally have been attuned to the special needs of students, faculty, and staff and we strive to continue that tradition.  We want your time at Wesleyan to be a positive experience, and we encourage you to avail yourself of our office's many services and types of assistance.  We can help!

This web page provides the information necessary for you to assist Public Safety in helping to prevent crime and in achieving a safe campus.

Sincerely,

David A. Meyer

Director of Public Safety
