In an effort to
provide timely notice and in the event of a serious incident which
may pose a threat to members of the Wesleyan community, all campus
e-mails and voice mail broadcasts will be coordinated by the
Director of Public Safety to alert the campus community. All
campus e-mails and voice mail broadcasts are usually distributed
for the following classifications: arsons, aggravated assault,
criminal homicide, robbery and sex offenses. They may also be
distributed for other classifications as deemed appropriate. They
are also posted on the public safety bulletin board located at:
www.wesleyan.edu/publicsafety/alerts/
Security alerts will
be posted for 14 days on the bulletin board. They will be updated
every five to seven days on the bulletin board, regardless of
whether the investigation has yielded new information.
The bulletin board
will also post information on:
*ADVISORIES- reports
of less serious infractions, where there is no
apparent safety threat
to the community. These advisories will be updated
as appropriate.
Information about winter parking bans and weather
conditions will be
posted for 24 hours at this location.
*AWARENESS REPORT.
This is the so-called "blotter" that is published in
the Argus. The
Awareness Report will be posted every Monday, for seven
days.
* DEAN'S OFFICE
NOTIFICATIONS concerning incidents of harassment. These postings
will remain for seven days and will be updated as appropriate. |
