Emergency Police/Fire Boxes and Blue-Light Phones

There are a number of emergency police and fire boxes scattered throughout and near the campus. These boxes send a signal to the City of Middletown Emergency Communication Center which will dispatch police or fire to the box's location when it is activated. To activate a police/fire emergency alarm box: lift the white protective cover, depress button, police and/or fire departments, depending on the emergency. you will hear no sound but the red light will be activated. Try to stay in close proximity to the box so that the responders can assist you as soon as they arrive. To activate a blue-light phone to call Public Safety in an emergency: push the red button.  The phone will dial Public Safety a red light will indicate the phone is activated
