Camp Cardinal
Reunion & Commencement
Weekend is a family event—bring the kids!
The
entire family is strongly encouraged to participate in Reunion &
Commencement Weekend. While you attend various activities, your children (ages 4
months through 12 years) may enjoy Camp Cardinal, a supervised program created
to entertain children during the weekend.
Camp Cardinal
Preschool Program (ages 4 months to 5 years)
We’re pleased to
offer our popular preschool program for your children ages 4 months to 5 years.
For the 12th consecutive year, the Neighborhood Preschool—a licensed day-care
facility serving the Middletown and Wesleyan communities—will operate a special
program exclusively for children of alumni and parents attending Reunion &
Commencement Weekend. Its professional, trained staff will organize games and
other activities, and will also provide quiet time, when needed, for the younger
children in the group. The Preschool is conveniently located on the Wesleyan
campus at 115 High Street, near the Butterfield residence halls.
Camp
Cardinal Children’s Program (ages 6 to 12 years)
The Children’s Program
will provide entertainment and supervision for 6- to 12-year-olds attending
Reunion & Commencement Weekend. The program begins on Friday afternoon with
games and activities, including the seventh annual all-campus scavenger hunt,
and concludes with a pizza party and movies. Saturday’s schedule features more
games and outdoor activities on campus. Your children can look forward to a
picnic lunch, swimming in the Freeman Athletic Center Pool, large-screen movies,
musical performances, sports clinics, a songwriting workshop, and an ice-cream
sundae party.
