The Middle East: Crisis, Conflict, and Change
In the tumultuous Middle East, U.S. policy-makers face
a daunting array of issues, ranging far beyond oil to countering terrorism and
coping with Iraq to helping end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and encouraging
reform in Arab states. Building better bridges of mutual understanding will be
critical to our success in meeting these challenges.
