On-Site Registration
The enclosed schedule of events is preliminary, subject to change, and does not include event locations. We encourage everyone to check in at Registration (Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, 330 High Street) to receive the final weekend schedule (with updates and event locations), meal tickets, and other essential information.
On-Site Registration Hours:
- Thursday, 9 a.m.–10 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
- Sunday, 8 a.m.–2 p.m.
If you have questions about your registration or plan to arrive after 10 p.m., please contact Suzanne Kampen in the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at rc@wesleyan.edu or 860/685-2116.
Registration fees
Please refer to the registration form in this booklet for details about Reunion & Commencement Weekend fees.
Refunds
Refunds can only be made through Friday, May 11, or in extreme emergency situations. Refund checks will be mailed after Reunion & Commencement Weekend bookkeeping is completed in late June.
Don't Forget
Bring your camera, scrapbooks, Wesleyan memorabilia, music, and anything else that will make the weekend special. May weather can be unpredictable in New England; we recommend that you bring a light jacket and umbrella—and if you're staying in a dorm room—an extra blanket. Wesleyan's athletic facilities and fields will be open throughout Reunion & Commencement Weekend; bring your suit/bathing cap/towel/racket/softball glove/Frisbee, etc., and check your final schedule for facility hours. Final schedules are available at Registration (330 High Street) during the weekend.
Special Assistance
The University is committed to full access and reasonable accommodations for all people. Please let us know by May 11 if you or your guests have any special needs. Contact Laurie Zolty in the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 860/685-3527 or lzolty@wesleyan.edu to make arrangements.
Weekend Meals
Wesleyan Campus Dining service prepares most Reunion & Commencement snacks and meals. A vegetarian or vegan alternative is provided at every meal. Some meals require tickets. For these meals, we strongly recommend you reserve a ticket in advance to guarantee availability and to help us plan accordingly. Meals requiring advance purchase are:
- Friday Welcome Picnic
- Friday Viva Italia Dinner
- Friday Shabbat Dinner
- Saturday Reunion Class Dinner
There may be a limited number of extra meal tickets available on-site. Meal tickets will not be mailed in advance; you will receive the appropriate tickets when you stop by Registration to obtain your Reunion & Commencement Weekend welcome packet.
You may purchase a snack or meal during the weekend at the following locations and times. These meals do not require advance purchase:
The Pi Café in the Exley Science Center will be open for breakfast, lunch, and snacks on Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30–11 a.m.
A la carte breakfast will be available on Sunday from 8 a.m–noon in the Davenport Campus Center.
There is no charge for the following meals taking place during the weekend; therefore, registration and tickets for these meals are not required:
- Saturday Picnic Lunch held during the Festival on Foss Hill
- Post-Commencement reception on Sunday
Parking
Due to several construction projects on campus, parking and access to University buildings is limited. We will do our best to accommodate the larger crowd on campus during the weekend through our student operated shuttle van service, but please expect delays and plan accordingly.
Additional parking may be available at the Middlesex Mutual Parking Garage (two blocks from campus at the junction of Court and Main streets), the Vine Street parking lot (adjacent to the tennis courts), and the Freeman Athletic Center parking lots (Cross Street and Pine Street). Shuttle vans will run regularly between these lots and all sites on campus.
The lot adjacent to the Stewart M. Reid House, Office of Admission, 70 Wyllys Avenue and the "C" lot on Church Street will be reserved for members of the Classes of 1957 and earlier, as well as for any individuals with disabilities. A parking/shuttle flyer will be included in your welcome packet. Please let us know by May 11 if you require special parking by contacting Laurie Zolty in the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 860/685-3527 or lzolty@wesleyan.edu.
Thank you for your understanding during this exciting time at Wesleyan.

Essentials for Reunion Classes
See Who's Here
Check out the "See Who's Here" board at Registration in order to find out where your classmates are staying and how to catch up with them.
Reunion Headquarters
Reunion classes will have space reserved for casual gatherings with classmates and special class exhibits (message boards, collages, artwork, and performances). These alumni lounges will be the best place to find your classmates, take a break from the weekend activities, or congregate between events. Bars will be open at all Reunion headquarters throughout the weekend.
Saturday Night Reunion Class Dinners
The Class Dinner on Saturday night is often the highlight of the weekend. We encourage all alumni with children to utilize Camp Cardinal (Wesleyan's on-campus childcare program; see schedule on page 20–21) throughout the evening so they can enjoy dinner, spend time with friends, and take advantage of late-night parties.
Each Reunion class is encouraged to invite members of the faculty or administration to join them for their class reception and dinner. If there is someone you would like to invite, please contact a member of your class committee or the Wesleyan staff member working with your class (see page 22). Cash bars will be available at all luncheons, dinners, and campus parties.
Hotels and Motels
Alumni are strongly encouraged to make reservations at the hotel where their class has blocked rooms—even if they plan to request campus housing. Rooms are limited, and there is a high demand placed on area lodging during the holiday weekend. When calling a hotel, make sure to request the block of rooms for "Wesleyan's Reunion." The reservation cutoff and cancellation date for blocked hotel rooms varies by hotel.

Residence Halls
Alumni who prefer to stay on campus will be grouped by class in Clark Hall, Nicolson (Foss 5–7), and the new Fauver residence hall. If you wish to stay in the dorms, please register using the enclosed form or online. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a housing fee of $100 per twin bed for unlimited nights (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights). When you register, you will be asked if you are willing to share a room and who you would like to room with or near. Room assignments will be available when you arrive on campus and check in at Registration (Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, 330 High Street). A $25 refundable room/key deposit will be required upon check-in. Residence hall rooms must be vacated by 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 27.
Please keep in mind that residence hall rooms are basic, with little furniture or creature comforts. There are no private bathrooms. Beds are twin-sized. Basic sheets, a light blanket, a pillow, and a towel are provided, but we recommend that you bring an extra blanket, a pillow, and/or a towel.
You may also want to bring hangers, an alarm clock, a hair dryer, a mirror, an iron, and/or other amenities. Before you arrive on campus, please check the local weather forecast and plan your trip accordingly.
Reunion Class Photos
Group photos of the Reunion Classes of 1957–1982 will be taken at the base of Denison Terrace on Saturday, May 26. WESeniors (Class of 1929–1956) and members of the Classes of 1937–1952 will have their Class Photo taken during their Class Reception and Dinner on Saturday, May 26. Information about class photos will be available after the weekend at www.panfoto.com.
Essentials for Parents and Families of Graduating Seniors
Housing/Accommodations
Parents and families of the Class of 2007 should arrange for hotel/motel accommodations as soon as possible. Please refer to the "About Wesleyan" section of the University Web site at www.wesleyan.edu/about/lodging.html for information regarding local accommodations.

In case of rain, the ceremony will take place under the large tent on Andrus Field. Since seating for guests will be limited, we respectfully ask you to limit the number of your guests who will be sitting under the tent to three. There will be a live broadcast of the ceremony in the Memorial Chapel.
Caps and Gowns
Seniors order caps and gowns from Broad Street Books during the last week of March. Broad Street Books will send a letter to all seniors with instructions for ordering during the last week of March. Call with any questions at 860/685-7323.
Diplomas
Members of the Class of 2007 may obtain their diplomas on Saturday, May 26 from 1–5 p.m. in the main lobby of North College. Graduates should be prepared to show a photo ID.
