Reunion Brunch Buffet
Wrap up a great weekend with a hearty brunch in the new Usdan University Center. Look for tables assigned to your class. Graduating seniors and families are welcome. Please register on the form enclosed in your preliminary brochure, or by using the online form.

40 Years Later: Where Have We Been? Where are We Going
An informal discussion among members of the class of 1968 on our plans for the future, focusing on the uncertainties of retirement.  It will be a great chance to reconnect over a light breakfast before we say our farewells.

GLSP Graduates’ Breakfast
Graduating GLSP students and their guests are invited to a celebration breakfast. Come to campus early, find a parking spot, and relax with your family, friends, and fellow graduates here. Instructions for donning regalia and marching in the commencement procession will follow breakfast.

A Song Remains Film Screening and Discussion

Matthew Grinnell '93 will screen his short film titled A Song Remains. This film is a meditative visual experience that brings together celebrated activists and personalities in a slide show format, accompanied by Jeff Buckley's recording of Leonard Cohen's song, "Hallelujah."  Noam Chomsky's text, 'Hegemony or Survival' has had a strong influence on the making of this short film, a film that seeks to inspire confidence in the process of speaking out against abuses of power.  The film runs 7 minutes; discussion will follow.

11 a.m. The 176th Commencement Ceremony
The Commencement Ceremony will be available live by Webcast.  Please go to  http://wescast.wesleyan.edu for details about how you can view the ceremony.

Information about Wesleyan's honorary degree recipients and Commencement speaker is available here.

A live broadcast of the Commencement ceremony will be available in the Memorial Chapel, Patricelli '92 Theater, Crowell Concert Hall, and Tishler Lecture Hall (Room 150), Exley Sciene Center, rain or shine. The ceremony may also be viewed online. Please check this site for details the week of May 18, 2008.

In case of inclement weather, you may also call the main University number at 860/685-2000 to determine whether or not the University will institute the rain plan for the Commencement Ceremony.

President’s Commencement Reception
A reception celebrating the Class of 2008 will take place immediately following the Commencement ceremony. Due to the size of the gathering, families and students who wish to meet during the picnic are encouraged to identify a “meeting place” in advance (e.g, one of the buildings on College Row).

GLSP Champagne Reception
GLSP graduates an. guests are invited to this reception where we will make toasts to the graduates, distribute diplomas, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a special celebration cake.

Graduate Student Champagne Reception
All MA and PhD degree graduates and their guests are invited to a special post-commencement champagne reception to celebrate this auspicious occasion.

Location: Woodhead Lounge, Exley Science Center, 265 Church Street
