Dar Williams '89 in Concert: A Benefit For Financial Aid

Hailed as one of the best singer/songwriters of our time, Dar Williams’ work has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, the Indigo Girls, and Ani DiFranco. Known for her "bell-clear voice", she has toured extensively in the United States and Europe, and released her eighth CD, Promised Land, in 2008, which highlights her gift for musical storytelling.

For tickets: Call the Wesleyan University Box Office at 860/685-3355 or visit www.wesleyan.edu/boxoffice; $25 per person; all proceeds will support financial aid

Reunion Accommodations

The Class of 1989 currently has rooms reserved under the “Wesleyan Reunion” block at the Fairfield Inn in Wallingford, CT, with a rate of $129 per night. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel at (203) 284-0001 and must be made by April 30, 2009 to receive this special rate.

A limited number of dorm rooms will also be available if you prefer to stay on campus. You can choose this option when registration for Reunion officially opens in March.

Rideshare

Help green Reunion & Commencement Weekend—make traveling to and from campus a group effort! Whether you are flying or driving, connect with others who are doing the same and reduce the amount of emissions released into our atmosphere by using the Wesleyan Rideboard. Sharing rides not only greatly reduces the number of cars traveling to campus, it allows for easer and more convenient parking availability, fills your trip with great conversation, and provides the opportunity for mini-reunions! Connect with other Wesleyan alumni and families in your region, carpool with classmates from your hotel, or share a cab ride or rental from the airport or train station.

Alumni: Log into your WesNet account at www.wesleyan.edu/wesnet and click "Rideboard" (under "Resources") to view or offer available rides, and find other alumni traveling to campus from your area. Trouble logging in or using the site? Contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations Interns at 860/685-2802 or wesrideboard@wesleyan.edu for assistance.
