8–10 A.M. Class of ’74 Softball

Join your classmates for an early morning softball game. Bagels, beverages, and bandaids will be provided. Not responsible for any hip, knee, wrist, ankle, or other joint damage.

8 A.M.–1 P.M. All-Campus Brunch Buffet

We're sorry, but this meal is now sold out. Other options for food and beverages on campus include the Usdan Cafe, Pi Cafe (in the Exley Science Center), or one of Middletown's terrific restaurants. We'll also have flyers available at Registration which will include a list of restaurants within walking distance of campus. If you registered in advance, you will receive your tickets to brunch in your welcome packet which will be available at Registration in the Usdan University Center.

If you'd like to see the Commencement Ceremony but can't make it to campus, you may view the ceremony live here.

The ceremony will be simulcast in the Memorial Chapel, Patricelli ’92 Theater, Crowell Concert Hall, and Tishler Lecture Hall (Room 150) at Exley Science Center, rain or shine. The ceremony may also be viewed online. Please check back for details the week of May 17, 2009.

President’s Commencement Celebration

A reception celebrating the Class of 2009 will take place immediately following the Commencement ceremony. Due to the size of the gathering, families and students who wish to meet during the reception are encouraged to identify a "meeting place"; in advance (e.g., one of the buildings on College Row). Light refreshments will be available.

North and South College Lawn

  Cap and Gown Recycling

Graduates who wish to recycle their cap and gown may do so after the Commencement Ceremony in the boxes marked "Cap and Gown Donations" on the Huss Courtyard, Usdan University Center and in the breezeway between North and South College.  Caps and Gowns will be offered to next year’s graduating class on a first-come, first-served basis during the spring 2010 semester.

  Diploma Cover Recycling

Any graduate who will not have use for their diploma cover (handed out during the Commencement Ceremony), may recycle the cover by dropping it off in the lobby of North College in the box marked "Diploma Cover Recycling" after the ceremony.

1:30–2:30 P.M. GLSP Champagne Reception and Diploma Distribution

GLSP graduates and guests are invited to this reception for toasting the graduates, distributing diplomas, and enjoying hors d’oeuvres and a special celebration cake.

1:30–2:30 P.M. Graduate Student Champagne Reception

All MA and PhD degree graduates and their guests are invited to a special post-commencement champagne reception to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
