Weekend Essentials for Reunion Classes

Reunion Headquarters

Reunion classes will have space reserved for casual gatherings with classmates and special class exhibits (message boards, collages, artwork, and performances). These alumni lounges will be the best place to find your classmates, take a break from the weekend activities, or congregate between events.

Saturday Night Reunion Class Dinners

The Class Dinner on Saturday night is often the highlight of the weekend. We encourage all alumni with children to utilize Camp Cardinal (Wesleyan’s on-campus childcare program) throughout the evening so they can enjoy dinner, spend time with friends, and take advantage of late-night parties.

Each Reunion class is encouraged to invite members of the faculty or administration to join them for their class reception and dinner. If there is someone you would like to invite, please contact a member of your class committee or the Wesleyan staff member working with your class.

Residence Halls

Alumni who prefer to stay on campus will be grouped by class in Clark Hall, Nicolson (Foss 5–7), and Fauver Residence Hall. If you wish to stay in the dorms, please register here. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a housing fee of $120 per twin bed for unlimited nights (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights). When you register, you will be asked who you would like to room with and near. Room assignments will be available when you arrive on campus and check in at Registration. A $25 refundable room/key deposit will be required upon check-in. Residence hall rooms must be vacated by 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 22.

Please keep in mind that residence hall rooms are basic, with little furniture or creature comforts. There are no private bathrooms. Beds are twin-sized. Basic sheets, a light blanket, a pillow, and a towel are provided, but we recommend that you bring an extra blanket, a pillow, and/or a towel.

You may also want to bring hangers, an alarm clock, a hair dryer, a mirror, an iron, and/or other amenities. Before you arrive on campus, please check the local weather forecast and plan your trip accordingly.

Reunion & Commencement Weekend Video Greetings Wanted

We are seeking video messages from alumni and graduating seniors. These videos will be shown on the television screens at the Usdan University Center throughout Reunion & Commencement Weekend. Videos must be 5 minutes or less, in any modern digital file format, and should do one or more of the following:

  1. Welcome alumni, families of graduating seniors, and guests to campus
  2. Share hopes and dreams for your classmates at this stage of your lives
  3. Share hopes and dreams for the Class of 2011 as they graduate from Wesleyan

Send your videos or questions to by May 1.

The fine print: We reserve the right to edit or reject any inappropriate content and/or to use submissions for other purposes before, during, or after Reunion & Commencement Weekend.

Reunion regalia is included in the registration fee for all Reunion class alumni who register by the May 6 deadline. It is also included in the registration fee for alumni who register on-site while supplies last. Pickup your regalia when you arrive on campus and check in at Registration (Usdan University Center), and wear it proudly while you are on campus and when you head home after Reunion! Most classes will receive t-shirts and hats. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee availability of specific shirt sizes. In the unlikely case that regalia runs out for a particular class before Reunion & Commencement Weekend is over, pre-registered alumni will receive their regalia by mail following the event. Guests of Reunion class alumni do not receive regalia.

Reunion Class Photos

Group photos of the Reunion Classes of 1961–1986 will be taken at the base of Denison Terrace (behind Olin Library) on Saturday, May 21. Alumni who pre-register for a photo in advance of the weekend will receive free shipping ($4 for unframed prints and $15 for framed prints). Alumni should follow the class links below for this special savings. All are encouraged to browse through the Panfoto website where you can view and order earlier class reunion photos along with special Wesleyan images.

See Who’s Here

Check out the “See Who’s Here” board at registration in order to find out where your classmates are staying and how to catch up with them.

Don’t Forget

Bring your camera, scrapbooks, Wesleyan memorabilia, music, and anything else that will make the weekend special. May weather can be unpredictable in New England; we recommend that you bring a light jacket and umbrella—and if you’re staying in a dorm room—an extra blanket and towel. Wesleyan’s athletic facilities and fields will be open throughout Reunion & Commencement Weekend; bring your suit/bathing cap/towel/racket/softball glove/Frisbee, etc., and check your final schedule for facility hours.
