*The class dinner on Saturday night will feature a beer tasting hosted by Gary Steinel '75.  You will be exposed to a wide variety of beer styles and flavors as some of the myths about beer are debunked. Gary will provide a Smoked Porter Salmon Spread, made with Alaskan Smoked Porter-America's leading Medal winning beer, which we will taste with the Smoked Porter and some of the historic smoked beers of Bamburg, Germany paired with Smoked Rombol cheese. There will be two Belgian Trappist beer cheeses that will be paired with Trappist beers, and you will also be introduced to the esoteric world of Belgian and Belgian-style beers: spontaneously fermented wild yeast ales, beers made using mustard seed, dandelions, and edible flowers. Find out if you are a hop head or a maltster or a mixture. We will meet Arrogant Bastards, Wailing Wenches, and Double Bastards. Whew! Time to pause for dinner. And finally, during dessert: Bittersweet Chocolate Truffles made with Dogfish Head World Wide Stout, paired with Russian Imperial Stouts, followed by toasted pecans, Stilton, and Aged Gouda with vintage Barleywines and English Old/Strong Ales.  And then there's still the Orleans party to enjoy!
