| Florescent bulbs |
- While the use of compact fluorescent bulbs is encouraged to save energy, everyone should know that these bulbs (like all fluorescent bulbs) must be recycled as
“universal waste” because of their mercury content. We are currently working on a “drop off” recycling system for them, but until it is announced, please contact Facilities Customer Service at x3400 to arrange for pickup of used bulbs by a Facilities electrician.

generated on campus by University-owned

- Should all be recycled. You can drop them off to the recycling center in the Science Center lobby, or put them in a sealed plastic bag (a baggie, or the plastic wrapper holding your new cartridge!) and send them through campus mail to Bill Nelligan, Physical Plant, 170 Long Lane.
