requesting advanced placement credit

A student who completed an Advanced Placement course in secondary school and has achieved a score of 4 (honors) or 5 (high honors) in the Advanced Placement examination may be awarded credit after satisfaction of the relevant department's requirements.  The precise number of credits will be determined at the discretion of the relevant department.  The department may condition the award of Advanced Placement credit upon successful completion of any course or courses at any level in any department of the University.

For students entering in or after the fall 2000, a maximum of two credits of any kind (including AP credit) earned prior to matriculation will apply towards graduation.  While a maximum of two credits will be counted toward the Wesleyan degree, all such credits that have been duly approved by Wesleyan departments will be listed on the student's transcript.

Your AP scores must be on file before credit can be awarded.  For copies of your report, WRITE: AP Exams, P.O. Box 6671, Princeton, NJ 08541-6671; CALL: toll free 888-CALL-4-AP (888-225-5427); or EMAIL: apexams@info.collegeboard.org.  The Educational Testing Service website is www.ets.org
