Housing Closes:

All residential units must be vacated by Noon on Friday, May 16, 2008.  Only graduating seniors and students who have been pre-approved by the Office of Residential Life can remain in their rooms after Noon on May 16, 2008.

Students who fail to check out of their rooms will incur a late checkout fine of $250.00 and may also incur per diem charges until they vacate their rooms.

At the end of the academic year, all residences must be left in a clean condition, and all personal belongings and trash removed.  We encourage students to allow sufficient time to do this properly, as charges for the university to clean and remove belongings are significant.  A complete list of fines can be found at www.wesleyan.edu/reslife/policies/fines.htt.

All students will receive a key return envelope in their University mailbox. Students are expected to return this envelope with housing keys to the Office of Residential Life prior to their departure from campus.   Students will be charged for a lock change if keys are not returned. 

If you have official University business (i.e. work) and need to remain on campus after Noon on May 16, 2008, you must apply for an extension through ResLife with a Commencement Week Application.

Please note that applying for an extension does not guarantee approval, as only extenuating circumstances will be considered. Students who are approved to stay past Noon on May 16, 2008 may be required to move out of their spring housing assignment into alternate housing.  Graduating seniors are automatically approved to stay in their current housing assignment until 4:30 pm on Monday, May 26, 2008 and do not have to submit an application.
