The RA Application Process for New Applicants:

1. Please submit the appropriate online application no later than the specified due date. The application may take some of your time. Make sure your application is complete and to your satisfaction before you submit it. Late applications will not be accepted.

2. Print out two reference forms and have people who can speak of your abilities complete the forms. References must be submitted prior to the deadline. It is your responsibility to follow up with your references to make sure they submit them by the specified date. NOTE: Family members are not suitable references.

3. Upon receipt of your completed application, you will receive a confirmation as well as your assigned group interview session and instructions on how to schedule your individual interview.

Information Session
These sessions provide candidates with information and insight into the position from both professional and student staff. The information sessions are scheduled as follows:

Group Process
All new Resident Advisor candidates are required to participate in one of the group interview processes. This is an opportunity for staff to evaluate candidates in a group setting. Since being a student staff member requires working in a group, we want to see how all potential candidates work along side one another. The group process sessions will take place on Thursday, February 14 from 7 p.m.- 10 p.m. and Friday, February 15 from  3 p.m. - 6 p.m. at locations still to be announced. Candidates need to attend only one of these sessions.

Individual Interview
The last phase of the selection process involves an individual interview with three staff members. This will give the Residential Life Office staff an opportunity to become acquainted with candidates in a more personal manner. Candidates will also have the chance to ask questions of staff members to get a better sense of the job and its responsibilities. Candidates will be asked to sign up for an interview time after their application is completed and submitted.
