University Summer Housing
The Office of Residential Life is pleased to offer summer housing to matriculating Wesleyan undergraduate students. Students who require housing after the Saturday, May 16, 2015 closing deadline must submit an online Summer Housing Application. Summer Housing begins on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 and closes on Friday, August 21, 2015. Transition housing is available for students living in university summer housing between Saturday, May 16, 2015 - Tuesday, May 26, 2015.

Summer Housing is ONLY available to matriculated Wesleyan undergraduate students. Graduating seniors are not eligible unless enrolled in University Summer Session. Summer Housing will be double-occupancy and a very limited number of single-occupancy rooms in air-conditioned Bennet Hall. Summer Housing placement is on a first-come, first-served basis. Fraternities and societies are not designated as University summer housing and students who decide to stay at these locations should carefully check move in and move out dates, as they will not be eligible for University transition housing at the beginning or end of the summer.
Summer Housing begins on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 after 4 p.m. Transition housing (May 16, 2015 - May 26, 2015) is offered to summer residents who must remain on campus from the closing deadline until summer housing opens after on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. We will not be able to accommodate students asking to arrive earlier than 4 p.m. since we do not have any storage areas. Summer Residents must stay for a minimum of two weeks after the opening of Summer Housing on May 26, 2015.
Two students will be hired to serve as ResLife staff for the students living on campus this summer. It is their responsibility to help create community and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents. To view the Residential Life Summer Staff Application, please click here.
The same University policies that apply during the academic year are in effect during the summer term. Students are expected to comply with the terms of the Summer Housing Contract, the Code of Non-Academic Conduct and all Community Standards. Summer Housing Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, however the priority deadline is Friday, April 24, 2015. Applications will not be accepted after Friday, July 31, 2015.
Students will be notified of their status by Friday, May 8, 2015.
We cannot accept changes or extensions to housing contract dates after Friday, July 24, 2015.
Students who break their summer housing contract at any point after Friday, May 8, 2015 will be charged a $150 contract breakage fee. A student can be charged the breakage fee for any breach of the contract, including moving out early or finding another place before University Housing begins.

The cost of on-campus housing after May 16, 2015 is a prorated charge that is assessed to your student account. The 2015 summer rates are the following:
- Double-occupancy air-conditioned room: $24.00/day
- Single-occupancy air-conditioned room*: $30.00/day
*We have a very limited number of single-occupancy rooms and if you indicate interest in a single-occupancy room we cannot guarantee your request will be honored.
These rates are for both transition housing and Summer Housing. Students will be charged for the entire length of time they spend in on-campus housing. If you are working for a department that is subsidizing your housing, please contact them to finalize dates and costs for the summer.
