Sustainability Advisory Group for Environmental Stewardship (SAGES)

Since 2007, the Sustainability Advisory Group for Environmental Stewardship (SAGES) has brought together faculty, staff, administrative, and student volunteers to discuss and take action on sustainability issues, ideas, and projects.  SAGES developed Wesleyan’s first Climate Action Plan in 2009, which describes the actions, policies, programs, and current and future measures that Wesleyan will take to meet greenhouse gas reduction targets and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. SAGES oversees six subcommittees: Academics, Energy, Green Building, Purchasing, Waste, and Transportation, which develop sustainability projects and programs that reduce Wesleyan's carbon footprint.

SAGES welcomes new members and visitors.  To join or find out about the SAGES meeting schedule, contact Jen Kleindienst.  Please browse SAGES' archived meeting minutes to learn more about its work.
