RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Yonatan Malin specializes in 19th-century music, romanticism, music-text relations, and theories of rhythm and meter. He has published articles in Music Theory Spectrum and Music Analysis. His book, Songs in Motion: Rhythm and Meter in the Lied, is forthcoming with Oxford University Press. Professor Malin has presented papers at regional and national meetings of the Society for Music Theory and at the Second International Conference on Music and Gesture.
