Ascend

Ascend is an exciting program designed to help students prepare for future educational goals through tutoring, hands-on enrichment programs, cultural field trips, and special events. Ascend is managed by Wesleyan University Public Schools Collaborative and is funded by Wesleyan University and the Middletown Board of Education. The program serves students at Bielefield School, Farm Hill School, and Macdonough School. Approximately twelve students from each school in grades 4 and 5 will be accepted into Ascend.

Wesleyan students are back on campus, here's the Ascend start dates for this semester

Farm Hill School 

This school year, the program will start in January 29 and run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Macdonough School 

This school year, the program will start January 29 and run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Frederick J. Bielefield School

This school year, the program will start January 28 and run Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 pm. to 5:00 p.m.

Ascend students are going to NYC on April 27

Ascend students will go to New York City for a field trip on April 27 to visit the Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) and the Sony Technolgy Wonder Lab. Permission slips with more details will be distributed soon. A $10 fee is required to hold your child's ticket, which will be returned to students on the day of the trip for a souvenir (or can be returned to the parent by request).
