The Prospect Math/Science Project is a comprehensive enrichment experience which includes field trips and Saturday workshops focusing on hands-on math and science activities during the school year; a four-week summer program with classes in math, science, language arts, foreign language, and visual and performing arts with classroom and field trips linked to a science theme; summer activities include science labs, field trips, brain teasers, math challenges, writing prompts, art projects, and instruction in a foreign language. Prospect emphasizes critical, analytical, and higher order thinking skills.

Let's Get Ready SAT Prep classes are underway
The Let's Get Ready SAT prep classes started this month! The classes are held on Wesleyan's campus at the Science Center. The 1st. Diagnostic Exam is Saturday, February 8th from 11:00am to 3pm in room 58. Classes begin Tuesday, February 11th at 5:30pm and end at 8:30pm. The classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays until May 1st., and prepare students for the May 3rd SAT exam. Students from Meriden/New Britain must notify UBMS staff if they need transportation. Bio-Medical Conference - Harvard
The Bio-Medical Conference will be held at the Westin Copely Place in Boston, Massachusetts on April 4th and 5th. The conference will give our students the opportunity to network with advisors/role models from the basic and clinical sciences, medicine, public health, academic administration and biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries.
Trio Day will be held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center on February, 20th & 21st. Trio Day 2014 will consist of college tours, dynamic guest speakers, thought provoking and engaging workshops and a gigantic college fair.
Women in Science
Wesleyan Women in Science aims to both build a sense of community among women of science and their supporters, and to foster love for the sciences on and off campus. Date to be anmnounced.
Prospect students will be attending the production of "Somewhere" at the Hartford Stage on Friday, April 11th. We will meet for dinner in Middletown prior to the show which starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are limited !!! Please call our office @ ( 860-685-2970 ) if you would like to attend.
After-school tutoring available
Tutoring is a great way to reinforce what you are learning in school. Transportation is available for Middletown High School Students. Please fill out the permission slip if you would like your child to ride a bus after school to the UBMS/Prospect Office for tutoring and return it to our office ASAP!
