The Prospect Math/Science Project is a comprehensive enrichment experience which includes field trips and Saturday workshops focusing on hands-on math and science activities during the school year; a four-week summer program with classes in math, science, language arts, foreign language, and visual and performing arts with classroom and field trips linked to a science theme; summer activities include science labs, field trips, brain teasers, math challenges, writing prompts, art projects, and instruction in a foreign language. Prospect emphasizes critical, analytical, and higher order thinking skills.

Mark your calendars: Prospect Summer Orientation (high school students ONLY)
On June 2nd from 9am – 12 pm, we will have a summer orientation for Prospect returning students in Exley Science Center 150. This is mandatory for all student and their parents/guardians. Prospect students should bring a copy of their most recent report card to the orientation.
Senior Dinner - May 30, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The 2012 Senior Dinner will be held at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake, a banquet facility with panoramic views of the lake. The lovely grounds will offer many photo opportunities. This is a semi-formal affair. Please come dressed for photo taking and arrive early!
The dinner will allows us to honor the Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math Science, and Prospect Math Science graduating seniors. Seniors are limited to two guests; however, an additional guest may be added at the cost of $32 per senior. Checks must be received no later than May 16th in order to reserve a space for additional guests.

Summer Program Dates
Dates for the 2012 Summer Program are June 25th – August 2nd for current high school students. The summer program will run from June 25th to July 27th for current 8th grade students enrolled in Prospect. Any unexpected school closings may change this slightly. Please plan vacations and medical appointments accordingly. Students are expected to attend each day of the program. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office at 860-685-2970.
