The Usdan Family
As president of the Lemberg Foundation, Suzanne Lemberg
Usdan was a generous benefactor to many. Her social vision and sense of
responsibility to help others inspired her children.
In honor of their mother, John 80 and Eva Usdan, Adam
Usdan 83 and Andrea Pollack, and Esme Usdan and James Snyder donated the
major funding for a new center of communal life at Wesleyan.
John Usdan remarks, The exchange of ideas and
collaboration between students and faculty is critical to the intersection
of the social and intellectual lives of our students. The University Center
grew from the recognition that Wesleyan could enrich the experience of our
community in a place full of opportunities to bring our campus together.
Adam Usdan is a current member of the Wesleyan Board of Trustees, and John
previously served on the Board as well. Both brothers
have given service and support to Wesleyan for decades.
