Welcome to our companion site for
Traces of Light: Absence and Presence
in the Work of Loie Fuller
by Ann Cooper Albright.
Ann Cooper Albright's thoughts on this site:
"Last summer, as I was researching my final chapter, my editor suggested I might want to think about a Web site for the book. Breathing deeply and refusing the tightness of my first, admittedly knee-jerk reaction (a resounding NO WAY!), I decided that this new project might just be the perfect 'dance' to accompany my final chapter on image, the body, and technology. ...I became inspired to think of the possibilities of a space where voice, text, body, and image could intersect. ...I am increasingly curious about the possibilities of this new forum of exchange. Intrigued by how a Web site can make present aspects that are usually absent in a finished book, I invite you to visit www.wesleyan.edu/wespress/tracesoflight and experience for yourself some
of the physical research embedded in the spine of Traces of Light."
