One of the biggest problems student groups face is communication

How many events do we schedule on the same day as another groups event?
How many times do we wonder if another group would be interested in working on a project, but don't know who to contact?
How many times did you want to invite other student groups to your event?

In the winter of 1999, WESUNITY, with the help of ITS, set up an automated email listserve for all student activist, student of color, and community service groups on campus.  It's been well received, but as more people use it, it will become more useful.

If you're not sure what kind of message you should send, here are a few guidelines:

Please restrict your posts to information about your current campaings, and requests for help or information from other groups.

The idea is to facilitate communication and collaboration among campus activists, not to educate about your issue in general, or as a place to forward national news.
