Albright
draws local outrage By Kelley O. Beaucar HERALD PRESS CORRESPONDENT MIDDLETOWN -- Despite cries of protest outside -- and inside -- Crowell Hall at Wesleyan University Saturday afternoon, U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright spoke proudly of U.S. diplomacy abroad and our responsibilities as a nation to ensure global peace and economic prosperity for the 21st century. She talked about the unrest in Kosovo and the Balkan region and a possible North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) peace keeping mission there if the ethnic cleansing of Albanians continues. |
