recognized student groups are offered automated email lists by ITS.
Wesleyan now exclusively uses Lyris lists.
Lyris List
Purpose: Create a mailing list to communicate with a
large number of people. It can be automated or moderated, open to subscription by
the public, or limited to certain people. You can also create lists where only
you can send emails to the list. It can even archive emails on the web for you.
How to obtain: email operations@wesleyan.edu,
give a name for this address, (your account will be groupname-l@wesleyan.edu)
and tell them who will be administering the account.
How to use: Go to http://lyris.wesleyan.edu
to add members to your list. Then send an email message from your personal account
to listname@lyris.wesleyan.edu. Your message will magically be reflected
back to everyone subscribed to the list, including yourself.
