Allergies

Allergies are diseases of the immune system that cause an overreaction to substances called "allergens." They may be in reaction to a substance that is eaten, breathed into the lungs, injected or touched. Symptoms can include coughing, sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose and scratchy throat. In severe cases it can also result in rashes, hives, lower blood pressure, difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, and even death. Though one in four Americans suffer from allergies, there are no known cures. Allergies can be managed with proper prevention and treatment. Read through the following links for more information on managing your allergies.
