If you are concerned about your or a friend's consumption of alcohol or other drugs and wish to speak to a qualified professional, contact one of these resources for help.

Counseling and Psychological Services
Located on the first floor of the Davison Health Center, Counseling and Psychological Services addresses the mental health needs of the Wesleyan community through individual appointments and in group settings. Referrals to off-campus mental health care providers are also offered. Call 860.685.2910 to schedule an appointment or to access the therapist on call after hours.
 

Health Services
Wesleyan University's Health Services, located in the Davison Health Center at 327 High Street, is open while classes are in session. Appointments are preferred; walk-ins are available on a very limited basis.  Call 860.685.2470 to schedule an appointment or after hours to access the physician on call system. 
 
WesWell, The Office of Health Education
WesWell is dedicated to educating students on health issues including alcohol and other drugs, in order to assist them in connecting with resources to help them lead a wellness-based lifestyle. Students are encouraged to drop in during office hours to find out how our staff can be of assistance or explore this website; the office is located on the first floor of the Davison Health Center at 327 High Street - entrance by Malcolm X House.

  • Core Institute
    The Core Institute at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale offers a survey on alcohol and drug use by college students which is used regularly at Wesleyan.  Visit their site to see data on the national sample and to learn more about this survey instrument. Wesleyan conducts the Core Survey periodically in order to understand current student consumption patterns, perceptions and attitudes and to adjust our prevention efforts accordingly.
