Sleep Hygiene & Disorders

Sleep hygiene refers to the practice of following guidelines which promote restful, effective sleep, whether that means better quality or greater quantity (or both).  This assists greatly with daytime alertness and avoiding the onset of sleep disorders. Trouble sleeping and daytime sleepiness are indicators of poor sleep hygiene. Chronic problems with sleeping and sleep deprivation may indicate a sleep disorder has developed.
