Course Description

Nia - Move the Body's Way
Nia (pronounced knee-uh) is a personal growth and fitness program that is sweeping the nation.  It's a full-body holistic, barefoot workout offering non-impact cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, and strength training.  Nia combines movements and concepts from the martial arts (aikido, tae quon do and tai chi), the dance arts (jazz, modern, Duncan dance and ethnic dance), and healing arts (yoga, Feldenkrais, and Alexander Technique).

It is creative and spontaneous and is done to great music.  The moves are simple and easy to learn and attract participants from all age groups and all levels of fitness. Come learn why the NBC Weekend Today Show called Nia "the next best thing in fitness".  Anyone can do Nia! Check Nia out on the web at www.nia-nia.com. Nia changes peoples bodies and peoples lives. Let Nia change yours!
