The Center for Community Partnerships is having a food drive this week to support Amazing Grace Food Pantry.  There are nearly 650 families going to the food pantry each month.  Please support the drive by bringing in any non-perishable food items this week.  Bins are located: North College, Olin Library, Science Center, Weshop, Davison Health Center and Center for Community Partnerships.

Emergency contraception is available over the counter at pharmacies across the country for individuals 18 and older, as well as at Health Services ( www.wesleyan.edu/healthservices). Plan B emergency contraception (EC) is a safe and effective back up oral contraceptive; it can be taken up to five days after unprotected sex or sexual assault to prevent pregnancy. But EC is most effective the sooner you take it. Studies show EC can reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy by 89% if taken within the first 72 hours after unprotected sex ? and by 95% if taken within 24 hours. Ask for Plan B at Health Services or at the pharmacy counter (be prepared to show proof of age if they ask for it at the pharmacy).

Quote of the Week
A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings, and learn how by his own thought to derive benefit from his illnesses. ~ Hippocrates, Regimen in Health (Greek physician, 460 BC - 377 BC)

Healthy Dose of Info
How to Floss Correctly
Break off about 18 inches of floss and wind most of it around the middle finger of one hand and the rest around the other middle finger. If the floss is hard to get between your teeth, try using dental tape, which is thinner. Holding the floss between your thumbs and forefingers, guide it between two teeth by gently rubbing it back and forth. When the floss reaches the gum line, curve it around one of the teeth and gently slide it back and forth in the crevice between the tooth and the gum.
Holding the floss tightly against the side of the tooth, rub gently up and down. Repeat for each tooth, including the backside of your last teeth, changing to a different part of the floss as you go along.
