Megan Andelloux is the Director of the Miko Learning and Resource Center, located in Providence, RI. In her role there she works as a Board Certified Sexuality Educator in the New England and Tri-State area. She provides consultations, trainings and workshops to colleges, hospitals and individuals on the joys of sex play, why the body works the way it does and answers zillions of questions on sexuality. Megan is also frequently used as a media consultant for magazines, news stations and the internet. Prior to being the Director of the Miko Learning and Resource Center, Megan worked as a Sex Educator at Planned Parenthood for 9 years.

Helping a Friend Quit Smoking Tobacco

Have a friend or family member who is interested in quitting smoking? Come to this workshop to learn about what it takes to quit and how you can most effectively support someone who is attempting to quit and stay quit. Those who currently smoke tobacco who are interested in quitting are welcome, too! Presented by Joyce Walter, Director of Health Services/Certified Tobacco Cessation Specialist. A Healthy Dose of Info on...How to keep your teeth as healthy as your body

man brushing teethLet’s be honest - how much do you really worry about your oral health?  Though we log in hours at the gym, wake up early to take morning jogs, and watch what we eat to keep off those extra pounds, how many of us actually take time to care for our teeth outside of the normal brushing and flossing routine?  Unfortunately, as healthy as we keep our bodies, the California Dental Hygienists’ Association (CDHA) warns that oral health is just as important.  In fact, the very exercise and diet regimes we stick to in order to keep us strong and fit may in fact be damaging the health of our teeth.

Here’s the deal - the consumption of sports drinks or gels and high amounts of carbohydrates, though beneficial to our bodies in some cases, can actually put our teeth at risk.  According to the CDHA, the sugar present in sports drinks and gels contributes to an increased risk of tooth decay.  In addition...
