Christian Prellwitz '02 has written A Guide to Bouldering in the Telluride and West End Areas (of Southwest Colorado) (Mountain World Media, 2007).  Bouldering is a form of climbing that involves very difficult and dynamic climbing on smaller rock formations, such as boulders and rock outcrops.  The starting point for the guide is Telluride, where Prellwitz resides, and then it heads west into the desert, all the way to the Utah border in three different directions along three different major roads (collectively referred to as the West End).

The book is full of detailed topos, route descriptions, action photos, and other relevant information; it takes readers to areas full of stunning scenery as it covers one of the least explored climbing areas in all of Colorado and one of the most sparsely populated areas in the United States.
