WSA Hosts Student Activities Fair
8/29/2008
Time to Shine
It's
that time again, time for the RECRUITING new members for your student group or
organization and getting FREE PUBLICITY by participating in the STUDENT
ACTIVITIES FAIR!
It will take place on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 2-6 pm in the
Spurrier-Snyder hockey rink located in the freeman athletic center.
We will provide the tables, chairs, poster board, snacks and vendors. All you
have to do is make a sign for your table, bring any materials you have about
your organization and people to staff your table. Due to the large number of
groups participating last year, we may ask that you share a table with another
group. We also would appreciate your help with clean-up at the end of the Fair!
In order to reserve a table or space,
just fill out this
form.

What is the WSA?
The Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA) is your student government here at Wesleyan.
It is a democratically elected body dedicated to dealing with student and
administrative issues and providing leadership to the student body.
What does the WSA do?
The WSA's representatives have a vital role in policy-making here at Wesleyan.
On every issue you can imagine, from Academic regulations to Residential life
issues to Information Technology, the WSA has a voice in setting policy for
Wesleyan's students. Often we have just as much say in policy as the
administrators themselves.
Who can run for WSA?
You. Every student residing at Wesleyan is eligible to run. Freshman and
at-large elections will be taking place a few weeks after you arrive on campus.
What if I want to start a student group?
The WSA through its Community outreach committee is in charge of recognizing
student groups. Once your student group is recognized, you can receive funding
from the WSA through the student budget committee.
Do you have public meetings?
Starting September 21, the WSA will be holding public meetings in Usdan 108
where students can participate in all proceedings.
Who can I contact with further questions?
You can contact the WSA officers at WSA@wesleyan.edu and someone will get back to
you with an answer promptly
Any questions or concerns can be addressed to wsa@wesleyan.edu, where you should expect a quick reply.
