Wesleyan Capoeira > About ICAF / ICAF-CT

ICAF is an international, non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of Capoeira Angola. Its foundation keeps a large library of resources pertaining to Capoeira Angola, hosts events and demonstrations frequently, and maintains a busy class schedule at its headquarters in Washington, DC and our various other affiliate groups across the United States and Brazil.

The Wesleyan Capoeira group and Connecticut branch of ICAF was started in 1996, and became an ICAF affiliate in 1998 under the direction of Mestre Cobra Mansa. The group has remained an active presence on the Wesleyan campus, and regularly attends Capoeira conferences and hosts Mestres.
