Semi-formal Information

Dear Members of the Senior Class,

As the end of the year approaches, we are making our final arrangements for the senior week semi-formal.  The semi-formal will be held during senior week on Thursday, May 25th from 7PM to 1 AM off campus at an undisclosed (but really cool, we promise) location.  The semi-formal is an annual tradition, and is the height of senior week for many seniors.

We have put a great deal of work into making this a classy, fun affair, and we hope everyone will attend.  In the past two years, over 90% of the graduating class has attended.  It includes dinner and dessert, which is catered and offers something for everyone.  We have also hired a professional DJ and bartenders for the evening.  The event is free for those who have purchased senior passes, and $45 for dates or seniors without passes.

As coordinating an event like this is quite complex, we are asking that those of you who wish to attend RSVP to us by April 15, 2000. It is imperative that you follow the proceeding directions exactly in order to secure your reservation.
So...  Here goes.

How to RSVP for the semi-formal:
If you have a senior pass:
Send an email to classof2000@wesleyan.edu with the following information:
-Your full name and WesID
-If you are bringing a date who is not a member of the Wesleyan Senior Class we need to know their name.  See payment info below.

If you do not have a senior pass:
-follow the above instructions.
-then send a check for $45 to: Liz Rapoport, WesBox 5091

Other important information:
Payment:  We are only accepting checks as payment for the semi-formal.  Do not send us cash or ask us to charge it to your account. Make checks payable to: "Wesleyan Senior Class."
Dates:  Seniors are permitted to bring 1 person along as a date.  The date, however, must pay $45 in order to attend.  Please send the check to: Liz Rapoport, WesBox 5091.
(Please note: If you are bringing a date who is also a senior, we do not need to know about it.  RSVP separately.  We can not put seniors on the same bus as senior dates - it is a relatively short bus ride.)
Transportation:  The only way to get to the semi-formal is on the buses that we rent.  Do not plan on traveling to the location yourself.  We will not tell you where to go.  The buses leave from Vine Street parking lot at 6:30 the day of the event.  If you do not RSVP, we will not have a seat on the bus for you!  Do not expect to simply show up on the 25th and get a seat on the bus, even if you have a senior pass!
Deadline:  The deadline to RSVP is April 15th.  We must receive your email (and check, if applicable), by that date in order to confirm our plans with the caterer and bus company.

Sorry about all the rules and regulations, but it's the only way to make sure the event goes smoothly.
Hope to hear from all of you soon,

The Senior Class Officers
