The following are plants we're considering planting on campus. While shade loving groundcover is ideally what we'd like to plant most places, a variety of flowers are also being looked into.All pictures from:

Dry shade groundcover. Flowers in July/August.
Partridge berry
Dark shade, evergreen groudcover. Flowers in early summer.
Bearberry, aka Kinnikinick
Sun/partial shade. Flowers in late spring.
Trailing Arbutus
Creeping Juniper
Lowbush Blueberry
