In lieu of formal minutes for last week's meeting we will be entering an informal summary.

New members were approved. The authors of the resolution (Reyson Punzalan, Liz Ortiz, and Micaela Gutierrez) regarding the academic review process gave a presentation on the resolution.  After some discussion and the addition of some friendly amendments the resolution passed with a vote of 32 in favor, 0 opposed and 3 abstaining.  The next item on the agenda was a discussion of WSA policies and procedures. WSA procedures regarding attendance and impeachment were discussed, and Anda Greeney brought forth a resolution regarding attendance, requesting that attendance be included in the minutes and committee reports in order to reflect those who were present, those who were absent but excused and those who were absent but not excused. This resolution passed with a vote of 19 in favor, 5 opposed and 8 abstaining. Committee reports were given by each chair.

The next item discussed was the WSA's agenda for the year. Topics that were discussed include making the WSA a resource for activism, instating WSA president office hours, re-evaluating some of the practices of Reslife, the running of a regular WSA column, and increasing contact with student groups.

Finally the rules were suspended and Zach motioned that we wish Nicole a speedy recovery which (of course!) passed without objection.
