The trans/gender group is for people of all gender expressions, not limited to those who identify as transgender, transsexual, genderqueer, butch, femme, androgynous, genderfuck, bigender, nongender, drag kings, drag queens, biokings, bioqueens, cross-dressers, boyz/bois, nelly boys, tomboy girls, gender performers, as well as those who are currently questioning or have in the past questioned their gender identities. And of course, allies of all of these identities are welcome and urged to join.
The group is largely involved in activism around gender and gender identity issues on and off campus, through both inside-the-system work with the administration and any other necessary means.
This group also provides a safe space for the discussion of those gender identities listed above and the experiences of living at Wesleyan with those identities. The trans/gender group is furthermore a place for self-education and outreach regarding gender and its interactions with race and class.
