Luis "Gabbo" Torres Rivera is the Project Assistant to the MultiCultural Department of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice in Washington DC. He works within the pro-choice movement to address a range of issues, which include health-care reform, reproductive rights for low income women and also helps African American churches serve as a resource for sexuality education. Gabbo is straight from la Isla Del Encanto, Puerto Rico. Gabbo stands as an example of someone who is constantly striving for improvement by exposing himself to new ideas and concepts. In his first three years at Wesleyan, Gabbo learned sign language, participated in Ajua Campos, Queer Alliance, and the Kids On The Block, a puppet show act geared towards kids with disabilities. Having worked on his own for most of his career at Wesleyan, Gabbo decided to join the fraternity during his junior year, as a way to build bridges between his other interests and the Latino Community. During his senior year, Gabbo would go on to co-chair the Feminist Majority, as well as Ajua Campos alongside Hermano Robert Carrillo. Gabbo assisted the president of the university to address new opportunities for multicultural activity within the Wesleyan community.

He graduated in 1999 having completed the Science in Society Program. He recently was a presenter in a panel discussion for a 6,000 people conference, where he addressed the challenges of a man doing pro-women work.
