Jason graduated from Fieldston in 1992 and attended Wesleyan University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996.

At Wesleyan, Jason was a double major in African American Studies and Government. He maintained a 3.0 GPA while also involving himself in a number of extra-curricular activities. Jason was elected Treasurer of the Student Budget Committee of the Wesleyan Student Assembly. He also founded and organization called "The Mecca" with a primary goal of establishing a non-alcoholic multi-cultural student social space for Wesleyan's campus. Jason was selected as a Senior Interviewer in the Admissions department with the responsibility of reviewing candidates for the Class of 2000.

Jason, along with 5 other Hermanos, founded the Sigma Chapter of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated at Wesleyan University on April 1, 1995. Jason's decision to pledge and co-found a chapter of the fraternity was solidified by his desire to be a resource and role model for younger Latino men at Wesleyan. In February 1996, he was elected to the Board of Trustees, and subsequently began his second-term as the Vice-Chairman of the Board.

Jason interned with the White House Communications Research Department in the summer of 1994. He has also interned with Merril Lynch and worked at the Fatherhood Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting greater male involvement in early childhood development.

Jason currently is an Assistant Vice President in Treasury Solutions, with Relationship Management and Sales responsibility for a $10 MM portfolio of corporate accounts relationships in the Insurance industry. As Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for LUL, Jason held responsibility as Chairman of The Gala Committee for LUL'S 17th and 18th Anniversary Galas, held in NYC. The success of the 18th Anniversary Gala allowed LUL to establish the La Unidad Latina Foundation, of which Jason will be on the Board.
