Sergio, known to his friends as Serge, is of Bolivian descent and has moved to Boston after graduation. He is an alumnus of the Prep for Prep 9 program, and of the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT (Class of 94). Having survived boarding school, Sergio entered his first year at Wesleyan in search of a venue from which he could learn to work with others and learn about his culture. He was immediately attracted to the prospect of a fraternity once his fellow Prep alum Jose De Jesus brought it to his attention. Sergio joined the fraternity in the spring of his freshman year at the ripe old age of 17. He has learned a great deal about leadership and friendship by observing and interacting with his line brothers, who being older taught him by example.
Sergio would eventually take a leadership role in the chapter and oversee the induction of new members including an entire new chapter at the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst (Alpha Beta Chapter). Sergio also served two tenures on the Ajua Campos board, one as co-chair. He has performed in Expresiones, the Latino talent show since his first year at Wesleyan and hosted it in 1998. Sergio majored in History and is currently working for the Democratic National Committee. No matter where he is or what he does; he will always have a comic book
handy, for imagination is the key to success.
