Weyrling to Jespeth
Easily recognizable by her black skin, Gretchen tended to shift from Hold to Hall to Weyr, knowing few people. Her first 'home' once she'd left the clan was Ista Hold; there she ran a black-market with the help of certain Fortian riders and Southern Boll holders. The rumor ran, "If you're wanting for something, ask Gretchen. She can get anything, for a price." Which, despite the fact that the crime ring was cracked down upon, still rings true. It became difficult to live there, though, (what with want-to-be dectives scurrying around), and she headed off for a new direction: the Fort Hold area. She settled in very quickly, made friends and not half a turn later stumbled upon a hectic scene of pillows and riders and holders; and then, somehow, G'kar carted her away as a candidate. Life proceeded, chores were done, and after a while, things got rather monotomous. Gretchen had doubts -- many doubts -- but, despite them, she stood when the eggs began to hatch; and then, not so long after she contemplated leaving before all was finished, Jespeth found her, and she Impressed. Now what? Well, who knows, but something interesting, to be sure.
