To attend an event, you must register for WesFest.

Note: During WesFest, campus tours will run every other hour (9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm and 9pm).  You do not need to pre-register.  Join a campus tour!

  • Guess the Ancient Mystery Object!!

    Time: ALL DAY!

    During the week of WesFest week, the Archaeology Department will post 5 ancient Mystery Objects from around the world – each coming from an area of our Archaeology faculty’s expertise. Submit your guesses on social media before the event -  or guess on the day - to get the chance to win fabulous (tasty!) prizes. On Friday April 9 at noon, pop in to our Zoom “Mystery Reveal” to see if your guesses were correct, and to learn more about these wild and amazing objects from experts.

  • Health Professions Info Session

    Time: 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.

    Join our Health Professions Advisor for a presentation and Q&A about planning and preparation for the health professions.

  • Open Office Hours with President Michael Roth!

    Time: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

    President Roth will hold open office hours for admitted students.  Come introduce yourself, chat about Wes and ask any questions you might have!  This event has limited capacity (6 students, 10 minutes each) and requires prior sign-up.

  • College of Letters Open House

    Time: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

    Faculty will be available to talk with you about the College of Letters, a three year, interdisciplinary major for the study of European literature, history, and philosophy, from antiquity to the present.

  • Art Studio Drop-In

  • Study Abroad Info Session

    Time: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

    Wesleyan considers study abroad to be an essential part of a liberal arts education for students majoring in any subject. At this WesFest session, you will meet Wesleyan’s Office of Study Abroad staff, learn about program options and affordability, and hear from students who have studied abroad.

  • Student-to-Student Panel Discussion

    Time: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Meet current Wes students for an honest and informative conversation about life, academics, and activities at Wesleyan. This panel is for students only!

  • Long Lane Farm Tour and Q&A

    Time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    Long Lane Farm is Wesleyan's collective, student-run organic farm, located a short walk from Freeman Athletic Center. At LLF, we grow produce year-round to feed the Wesleyan and Middletown communities, as well as holding fun events for farmers and non-farmers alike. Join Charlotte, one of our Long Lane farmers, for a farm tour and Q&A session.

    Wesleyan's Resource Center seeks to support, empower, and engage students with underrepresented identities. The Center’s areas of focus include promoting dialogue and coalition building around the intersections of race, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, disability, gender, sexuality, sustainability, spirituality, and social and political activism. Join student and staff members of the Resource Center for a live tour!

  • CIS Presents: Research in Science at Wesleyan!

    Time: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

    Interested in a number of different science majors and how they interface with each other? The CIS major provides an opportunity to expand your science education and obtain a research experience.  At Wesleyan, students can start in faculty labs as early as their first year and all CIS majors participate in an eight-week paid summer research program on campus. Faculty and students from the College of Integrative Sciences will give brief presentations on the linked major and discuss research opportunities.

  • Student Activities Fair!

    Time: 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

    Join the Student Activities & Leadership Development student staff as they present a guide to student organizations at Wesleyan University! In addition to highlighting various student organizations at Wesleyan, we will also be offering a quick introduction to WesNest: the main platform of information for and about student groups, as well as campus events. Prospective students and visitors will be able to learn how to use WesNest to get basic information about different student groups at Wesleyan.

  • Ask a Student About Academic Resources!

    Time: 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

    Student Academic Resources provides academic support for all students at Wes. In addition to providing individual meetings and technology consultations, the office coordinates Accessibility Services and the Deans’ Peer Tutoring Program, and works closely with the Academic Peer Advisors. “Stop by” to meet peer advisors, Haley and Ariel, two current students who are excited to answer your academic resources questions from a student perspective.

    This Q&A session is an opportunity for parents to ask current Wesleyan students any and all  questions about campus life. This panel is for parents only!

  • Meet the Religion Department

    Time: 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.

    Come for an informal chat with Religion Department professors and find out how to study everything from Siberian shamanism to Pantheism, Christian feminist theology to philosophy before and after the Holocaust, Evangelical spiritual warfare, from Muslim cultures to Islamophobia, and from Christians and the Roman Empire to Zombies as modern‐day monsters.

  • Student Technology Q&A

    Time: 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

    Join Information Technology Services and campus tech store experts to hear about technology on campus. Student employees and Wesleyan staff will discuss students’ personal technology choices and will be prepared to answer questions about dorm and classroom tech as well! We will share tips for buying computers during the summer and disclose best sellers. Bring any questions about technology on campus! We will try to answer you on the spot or will reply back within a few days. We will also collect all questions and create a Q&A PDF to post on the bookstore and IT website for everyone to access later.  Every webinar attendee will be entered to win a pair of Beats Solo 3 headphones!

  • Romance Languages & Literatures Department Information Session

  • AO Scott on the Future of Movies

    Time: 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.

    A conversation between Scott Higgins, chair of the Center for Film and the Moving Image, and AO Scott, followed by Q and A.  Scott is an American journalist and cultural critic. He served as co-chief film critic for The New York Times. In 2020, Scott assumed the title of critic at large.

  • Activist Happy Hour with Wesleyan Democrats
