Chats & Live Sessions

With the arrival of the holiday season comes the January 1 application deadline. As the deadline approaches, the Office of Admission would like to provide students, families, high school counselors, and CBO partners with the opportunity to connect with us for a live chat to answer those last-minute questions before the Early Decision II and Regular Decision deadline. Whether you have specific questions or could benefit from the questions raised by others, we invite you to join us for the following informal live chats:

Q&A with Vice President and Dean of Admission & Financial Aid, Amin Abdul-Malik Gonzalez '96

  • Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 4:00 PM EST | Register

Q&A with Director of Admission, Chandra Joos deKoven

  • Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 9:00 AM EST | Register

To ensure that we can address as many questions during the allotted time, registrants are encouraged to submit questions in advance via this form.

WesChats are a great way to explore Wesleyan and learn more about academics and student life in a relaxed, informal conversation with a current student.

WesChats are not formal admission interviews, but rather 30 minute video calls with one of our Senior Interviewers who will share some of their own experiences at Wesleyan and answer your questions. These students can both speak directly to your interests and describe campus culture and intellectual life. It’s a great way to get a broad sense of student and residential life, academics, advising, research, faculty relationships, the City of Middletown and more.

No evaluation or record of the conversation is part of the admission application, and doing a WesChat neither precludes nor necessitates an evaluative interview later in the process.  Sign up here.

We hope you can join us for one or more of our upcoming Instagram Live sessions (schedule to come soon)!  During these themed sessions, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the Wesleyan experience from students and Admission deans.  We look forward to connecting with you!

Previous topics have included:

  • Academics at Wes
  • Diversity at Wes
  • Campus Life and Study Abroad
  • Q&A Session

2020 Live sessions have all passed.  Please check back for more in 2021!
