For Colleagues

To our colleagues offering counseling, advising, and mentoring to students everywhere: thank you for your service. The Wesleyan Admission Deans appreciate the important role you play in our students’ college search and acknowledge the unending and underappreciated hours you put in on their behalf. We welcome any opportunity to work with you to provide greater insight into the college application and admission process. We invite a dialogue with each of you, enjoy the opportunity to connect “across the desk,” and appreciate the conversations.

Below you’ll find various resources we hope you’ll find of value. If there’s information missing that would be helpful to you, please reach out and let us know; we’ll do our best to fill in the gaps.

A Message to Prospective Students: College Admissions and the Impact of the Coronavirus

Amin Abdul-Malik Gonzalez ’96, Vice President and Dean of Admission & Financial Aid, penned a letter to prospective students to address our approach to college admissions in these trying times.

Information for Advising:

              Transfer Students

              International Students

Please know that Wesleyan does not factor demonstrated interest into admission decisions; therefore, a student's inability to visit campus will not have an impact on their candidacy. That said, when it is safe to do so, we encourage campus visits because they are useful avenues for students and families to learn more about our resources, climate, and community.
