Information Sessions and More

Wesleyan will be opening for campus tours and information sessions beginning Monday, June 7!

We, too, are excited to see the light at the end of the Covid-19 tunnel and are monitoring CDC guidelines and listening to health professionals, but the health and safety of our community and guests remain paramount. Until further notice, tours and information sessions will be held solely outdoors. Masks are recommended while touring and during the information session, and are required when entering the Office of Admission to access restrooms and fill water bottles. Beyond the Office of Admission, guests will not have access to university buildings. Touchless check-in will be in effect. After registering for your visit, you will receive email confirmation with a QR code. Please have this available on your device for scanning upon arrival.

Our admission deans, students, and faculty are eager to meet and talk to you.

  • Summer Visits

During the week, visitors will register for either a morning or afternoon visit. The morning visit starts with a campus tour at 9:00 am followed by the information session at 10:30 am and the afternoon visit will begin with a tour at 1:00 pm and information session at 2:30 pm.

Weekend tours will take place at 12:00pm.

Space is limited to registered guests. (Due to present COVID restrictions, we regret we will not be in a position to accommodate unregistered visitors.)

Sign up for a campus visit here.

  • Virtual Information Sessions

Join an admission dean and a current student for a one-hour discussion via Zoom on the distinguishing elements of the Wesleyan experience, an overview of the admission process, and an introduction to financial aid at Wesleyan.

    Information sessions are offered:

    • Tuesday at 4:00 pm EDT
    • Thursday at 7:00 pm EDT

Sign up for an information session.

Live information sessions are an excellent way to ask questions and interact with our admission deans and current students. If you are unable to join one of our live information sessions, our pre-recorded session may be equally helpful and more accessible as you look to fit this into your schedule.

  • Interviews

Although interviews are not required as part of the application process, they are recommended. Interviews are evaluative, play a role in the admission process, and are a valuable opportunity for an exchange of information about both the candidate and the University.

    • You do not need to have an application on file to request an interview. There are a wide range of times available including evenings and weekends between September, 2021, and February, 2022.
    • For transfer applicants, interviews are not required but highly encouraged. Interviews are offered Monday through Friday from June to the transfer deadline of November 15 for Spring Transfer or April 1 for Fall Transfer. Interviews for transfer applicants may be scheduled through Loreen Carta.
    • Interviews with Wesleyan alumni volunteers are viewed and evaluated in the same light as those conducted by our senior interviewers. Request an alumni interview.
  • WesChats

WesChats are a great way for high school seniors to explore Wesleyan and learn more about academics and student life in a relaxed, informal conversation with a current student.

WesChats are not formal admission interviews, but rather 30-minute video calls with one of our senior interviewers who will share some of their experiences at Wesleyan and answer your questions. These students can speak directly to your interests and describe campus culture and intellectual life. It is a great way to get a broad sense of student and residential life, academics, advising, research, faculty relationships, and the city of Middletown.

No evaluation or record of the conversation is part of the admission application, and participating in a WesChat neither precludes nor necessitates an evaluative interview later in the process.

    Sign up for a WesChat.

  • Text an Admission Dean

You can send questions via text or WhatsApp to one of our admission deans. Find each dean’s mobile number. To connect with us via WhatsApp, message us at +1.860.685.3578.
  • Group Visits

We would love to discuss virtual group visit options with you! We offer information sessions, student panels and/or virtual tours to high schools, community-based organizations, and more. If you would like to discuss a virtual visit for your group, please email Loreen Carta.
