APRIL 11 & 12, 2018

Attending WesFest? Consider spending a night on campus with a current Wesleyan student. Through our overnight hosting program, we can accommodate regular decision students for one night each. Space is very limited and accommodations are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

This year, we will also offer a waitlist for Early Decision students who would like to be hosted. Due to limited resources, the waitlist will be kept to 20 students each night, therefore early registration is important! If you are an Early Decision student, please email the WesFest office or call 860-685-2559 for more details. Early Decision students who do not get matched with a host are welcome to participate in WesFest and independently arrange hosting with friends/family who currently attend Wesleyan or to stay in local hotels at the discounted Wesleyan rate.

All reservations must be in by Sunday, April 1

What to Bring

In addition to your personal things, please bring the following items with you:

  • Sleeping bag
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Workout clothing and swimsuit (in case you want to go to the gym, take a yoga class or go for a swim)
  • Spending money for meals, a Wesleyan hoodie, a night out, etc. Discounted meal tickets may be purchased at the Office of Admission for $5/each.
  • Required signed Permission/Medical Release form

You may store your personal items (sleeping bags, etc.) at the Office of Admission during the day. The office receptionist can direct you to the storage location. Note: The Office of Admission closes at 5:00 PM.

WesFest: Meeting Your Host

After the Meet Your Host event, your host will take you to their dorm and provide you with a place to sleep. We encourage you to get to know your host and their friends to gain a variety of perspectives on Wesleyan. While on campus, take the opportunity to attend WesFest events, visit classes, and meet your (potential) future classmates. Due to the busy nature of Wesleyan students, your host may or may not be able to accompany you to activities throughout your stay; feel free to explore campus on your own or with other admitted students.

Early Decision Student Overnight Options

This year we will offer hosting to students admitted through Early Decision on a very limited basis. Please call the WesFest office for details at 860-685-2559. Those of you who do not get matched with a host are welcome to participate in WesFest and independently arrange hosting with friends/family who attend Wesleyan or to stay in local hotels at the discounted Wesleyan rate.

Staying with a Friend or Family Member on Campus

If you have friends/family members at Wesleyan, please feel free to independently arrange housing with the current Wesleyan student. If you are being hosted independently with a Wesleyan student (not through the Office of Admission), you are required to properly register with the Public Safety Office. Wesleyan students are required to register any overnight guests prior to their arrival on campus and provide all emergency contact information via the guest registration form located in the Electronic Portfolio. All guests under the age of 18 should submit the online visitation form no less than 48 hours before their scheduled visit and should present a signed copy of the parent agreement portion of the form upon their arrival to campus to Public Safety. (Student Handbook: Guest Policy)

Family Overnight Options

Parents and family members are welcome to attend WesFest. A list of local hotels can be found here.
